National Headache Foundation Honors LPGA Tour Professional Diana D'Alessio with 2008 Partners in Excellence Award

Chicago, IL - May 3, 2008 - The National Headache Foundation (NHF) will present its prestigious Partners in Excellence Award to LPGA Tour Professional Diana D'Alessio at the 22nd annual NHF Fund Raising Benefit on Saturday, May 3, 2008 at the Waldorf-Astoria in New York City.

The Partners in Excellence Award is being presented to Ms. D'Alessio in recognition of her efforts to raise awareness of menstrual migraine among women. As a spokesperson for the educational campaign, PARtnering Against Menstrual Migraine, she is helping to inform millions of women across the country about menstrual migraine and how to seek effective diagnosis and treatment of this condition. As a headache sufferer for over 10 years, D'Alessio thought her reoccurring migraines were just another symptom of her menstrual period. Her headache pain went undiagnosed until she spoke with her doctor who was able to diagnose menstrual migraines and prescribe medication targeted to treat the condition.

"Diana's story is very common among women who experience menstrual migraines," said Dr. Seymour Diamond, Executive Chairman of the National Headache Foundation. "Many are not aware that their pain is a specific medical condition which can be diagnosed and treated by a healthcare professional. We are thrilled to have Diana as part of our team, helping other women identify menstrual migraines and seek appropriate treatment."

D'Alessio is making a contribution to menstrual migraine education through her performance on the LPGA Tour.

For every hole she plays under par in competition, Endo Pharmaceuticals will make a donation to the National Headache Foundation to support consumer menstrual migraine education programs, and a matching donation to her charity of choice, the Susan L. Bader (SLB) Foundation of Hope. The SLB Foundation of Hope is a grass roots non-profit organization raising awarenss and funding for pancreatic cancer.

"I'm honored to receive the Partners in Excellence Award for my involvement in the PARtnering Against Menstrual Migraine campaign," said D'Alessio. "I suffered from menstrual migraine for more than 10 years without knowing there was such a condition, and it's very rewarding to help other women learn more about it and potentially find a treatment option that works for them."

PARtnering Against Menstrual Migraine is a joint effort of the National Headache Foundation and Endo Pharmaceuticals and was created to reach women and healthcare professionals in the United States through information exhibit booths, menstrual migraine screenings and other educational opportunities at LPGA events throughout 2008. D'Alessio will be available at six campaign events to sign autographs and share her experience as a menstrual migraine sufferer.
