KOLON was named the title sponsor of the LPGA's professional development program that offers educational and cross-cultural communication training for all members and it is now called the KOLON-LPGA Cross-Cultural Professional Development Program. Love of Kimchi Event

A group of LPGA players including Na Yeon Choi, Eun-Hee Ji, M.J. Hur, Vicky Hurst, Katherine Hull, Sandra Gal, Stacy Lewis, and Nicole Castrale participated in the Kolon LPGA Love of Kimchi event with the Kolon Family Volunteer Team.

Players got together and visited Gwachon Senior Center on October 28th and made 500 “po-kees” of Kimchi. More>>


KOLON-LPGA Golf Outing

More than a dozen LPGA players gathered for a KOLON-LPGA Golf Outing at the Wegmans LPGA in Rochester, N.Y. 100 students from John Williams School #5 participated. The students, who hail from 20 different countries, partook in golf instruction, lunch, Q&A with players, and an autograph session. The pairing with the LPGA is an ideal one, given the Tour’s own level of diversity, with over 120 players representing 27 countries. More>> | Watch the video >>


Gulyanamitta speaks at Moving Up ceremony

June 22, 2009 - LPGA player Russy Gulyanamitta attends the "moving up" ceremony at John Williams School #5, the Rochester City School District's northwest LEAP school (for children whose native language is other than English). Russy, herself an ambitious student with an industrial engineering degree, spoke words of encouragement to the sixth grade students, urging them to stay focused in school and to follow their dreams, above all. Junior Golf Clinic sponsored by the Wegmans LPGA

Rochester, NY--May 14, 2009 - Forty 5th grade students participated in a Junior Golf Clinic sponsored by the Wegmans LPGA at Locust Hill Country Club on Monday, May 18th. The tournament partnered with The Rochester City School District School #5 to have the kids in attendance on Media Day when defending champion Eun-Hee Ji and previous champion Jeong Jang were on hand to speak to the kids. The Kolon-LPGA Cross Cultural Development Program was also a part of this meaningful event.

Business Graces for Global Places

At the 2009 LPGA Tour Player Summit the theme of the luncheon was “Business Graces for Global Places” presented by Lillian Tsai, president of Tsai Communications. The luncheon was an extension of the educational KOLON-LPGA Cross-Cultural Professional Development Program that offers communication training for all members. The LPGA showcases an international membership with a global business footprint and the Kolon Cross Cultural Program is designed to assist all LPGA members in developing core skills that will help them be successful as an LPGA professional. KoreAm Journal’s 3rd Annual ELORD KoreAm Pro-Am

KoreAm Journal hosted its 3rd annual ELORD KoreAm Pro-Am on April 5 and 6 at the Pacific Palms Resort in City of Industry, Calif. Sponsored by ELORD, the event paired up 24 Korean LPGA players, including Hee-Won Han, Angela Park, Birdie Kim, Inbee Park and Eun-Hee Ji, as well as exciting new rookies such as Vicky Hurst and Jee Young Lee, with amateur players in a Scramble tournament. Proceeds from the event benefited The LPGA Foundation, a non-profit charitable organization. More>>
