  • In 2009, Angela Stanford won the season-opening SBS Open at Turtle Bay, where she crossed the $4 million mark in career earnings and recorded a season-low 65 in the opening round.

  • Tied for second at the CN Canadian Women's Open, where she carded a season-low 65 in the second round.

  • At the P&G Beauty NW Arkansas Championship presented by John Q. Hammons, Stanford lost a three-way (with Sun Young Yoo) sudden-death playoff to Jiyai Shin but earned $143,063 to cross the $1 million milestone in season earnings for the second year in a row.

Angela Stanford picked up right where she left off in 2008 with a victory at the season-opening SBS Open at Turtle Bay. On a day where much of the focus was on Michelle Wie, Stanford pulled away with three late birdies to edge Wie by three strokes at 10-under-par. Angela Stanford sank a 25 foot putt on the 18th hole during the final round of the P&G Beauty NW Arkansas Championship Presented by John Q. Hammons. This shot ranked #8 on the top-10 shots of the season.
