Pressel honored by Kerr's charity

Cristie Kerr recently presented Morgan Pressel with the Birdies for Breast Cancer annual CoURagE Award, which is given to an individual affected by breast cancer who has conquered obstacles to achieve greatness. Morgan's mother passed away from breast cancer two years ago and in her spirit, Morgan went on to win the US Women's Amateur, became the first player to complete the Career AJGA Slam, and had a runner-up finish at the 2005 US Women's Open. During the same ceremony, Brea Barnes, Director of Development for the Florida Hospital Foundation, announced a new fund dedicated to breast cancer research in Morgan's mother's name. Birdies for Breast Cancer will be making the first donation to the Kathryn Krickstein Pressel Memorial Fund out of proceeds from the UpLink Birdies for Breast Cancer Charity Golf Classic to be held on December 3rd at Reunion Resort in Orlando, Florida.

Birdies for Breast Cancer, a non-profit organization founded by LPGA Tour player Cristie Kerr, is dedicated to raising funds for breast cancer research. To learn more about how you join Cristie in the battle against breast cancer, please visit www.birdiesforbreastcancer.com.
