Two LPGA Tour rookies and two NASCAR Busch Series rookies will trade “driving lessons” this weekend in Ft. Worth, Texas, for filming of SPEED Channel's “NBS 24/7: The Rookies” weekly reality show.

Kim Hall
D'Rae Ward
On Friday, April 7, LPGA Rookies Kim Hall and D'Rae Ward will host Busch Series Rookies Joel Kauffman and Tracy Hines, who are both with FitzBradshaw Racing, as well as FitzBradshaw Racing Team Owner Armando Fitz and crew chiefs John Frattura and Eddie Buffington, at The Trophy Club in Trophy Club, Texas. Hall and Ward will give the race team a quick lesson on the driving range before heading to the course for 18 holes of golf.

Then it's the golfers turn to pick up a few pointers. On April 8, the LPGA rookies will spend the day at Texas Motor Speedway, site of the O'Reilly 300 Busch race, to experience a day-in-the-life of a NASCAR driver. Joined by FitzBradshaw Racing co-owner Terry Bradshaw, Hall and Ward will attend the team sponsor's hospitality for meet and greets and autograph sessions, the mandatory pre-race driver's meeting and will then watch the O'Reilly 300 Busch race from the team's pit box on pit road. The LPGA rookies will also serve as “honorary pit crew members” for each team.

In addition, the LPGA will be represented on the hood of the #12 SuperCuts Dodge driven by Kauffman with “These Girls Rock” branding. “These Girls Rock” will also be placed on the front quarter panel on both sides of the car. The O'Reilly 300 Busch race airs at 3 p.m. (ET), April 8, on FOX.

All of the above activities will be filmed to develop the weekly show “NBS 24/7” on the SPEED Channel. The SPEED Channel, celebrating its 10th anniversary in 2006, is the nation's first cable network dedicated to motor sports and is available in more than 70 million homes in North America. “NBS 24/7: The Rookies” goes behind the scenes and discovers what it's truly like to be a member of a race team, focusing on off-the-track events and human interaction.

The original “NBS 24/7: The Rookies” episode featuring the LPGA is Monday, April 10, at 8:30 p.m. The episode will be re-aired on April 11 at 12:30 a.m., 3:30 a.m. and 8:30 a.m. All times are Eastern.
