I.K. Kim, winner of the 2010 Lorena Ochoa Invitational, visited Guadalajara, Mexico on Wednesday, April 13th to see the effect her donation has had on La Barranca, the school funded by the Lorena Ochoa Foundation. Following her victory in November, Kim pledged half her winnings to Ochoa’s Foundation and half to an American charity to-be-named. Kim toured La Barranca with Ochoa, meeting the children and teaching them Korean. She was surprised to learn that the school had dedicated a classroom in her name as a sign of gratitude for her gracious gift.
I entered the sport very late in my life (I am an avid amateur player in another sport for most of my life), but have to say that golf has been kind to me because I thoroughly enjoy the game and all of its life aspects.
Although it's not the proper way to say my greetings, I'd first like to start off my blog by saying apologizing to all the fans. I didn't realize until today, March 18th, after the first round of RR Donnelley LPGA Founders Cup, that I was the only rookie player that hadn't written her blog.
