Hi!! This is me, Tania Elosegui.
I am from San Sebastian, on the north of Spain, and I have to say that is the most beautiful city in the country. It's on the coast, just in the corner between France and Spain. If you have the chance to come to Spain, don't miss San Sebastian. It is well-known for the marvelous food you find and a very famous beach called "La Concha" which means shell. The reason for that is because there is a beautiful bay with the beach all around and a little island in the middle. If you observe the bay from the sky with the island and the beach, you can see a beautiful shell. It is an unequaled setting, really.
But those are not the only reasons why San Sebastian is so well-known. It is famous because of its waves. The surf is big, so it's a very popular spot for surfers from all around the world, especially during the summer.
From a cultural point of view it's famous because the best Spanish sculptor, and one of the best in the world, was from San Sebastian: "Chillida". There is an amazing sculpture on one of the cliffs of the city made by him that represents the wind and it's called "El peine de los vientos" which means The comb of the winds. It is a much-loved place by people who come to visit San Sebastian. If you stand on the side of the sculpture, you can feel the wind coming from different directions, and because it is right next to the sea, you can hear the waves and the wind going through the sculpture. Because of his shape, the wind makes an unusual noise when it goes thought it. It is really exciting to experience.
I could go for days talking about San Sebastian, but I just wanted to talk a little bit about my city because it is really beautiful and I like it a lot. So everyone gets to know a little more about where I am from.
So, this is my city that I feel so attached to!! I will talk a little bit more next time!
