Yani Tseng talks about starting her 2009 season

Time is flying so fast, the year of 2008 is gone. I really appreciate the many people who have been with me, and I'd like to thank my fans for all the support. I had so many runner-up finishes this past year. I feel so sad and almost cry when I think about it, even though it was a good learning experience for me. This year is a brand new year, and will be even better. I have spent almost two months training at Oak Valley during my off season, and I have been working with my new Adams Golf clubs. I practiced hard with my dear coaches Dave and Ron Stockton during that time for a better season in 2009. Of course, I practiced my English and speaking, and hopefully I can use it more often. Besides golf, I have learned how to ski too..hahaha.!! It's awesome!! I have added skiing to my hobby list from now on. When I mentioned that I was going to ski, my team was so worried about it. They kept telling me to take lessons…….so……I listened……..I took a lesson from Kai Chang who is also a beginner….hahaha….that is so cool…..!! After a 30-minute lesson, I learned how to stop……..then I was sitting on the tram to the top……wow……..too exciting….

I am ready for my 2009 season - I can't wait any longer!! Haha. I will present my improved performance to everybody…..I am ready!!

I learned so much last year. Even though the travel part was kind of tough, I still kept positive. I learned from the tough situations, and still tried to enjoy them. Hah…Everyone in the big family of the LPGA is so friendly. I thank them as well.

I feel much different this year!! I do not have to be at the tournament site by Monday and play two rounds. This is my second year. It's a big relief for me, much more relaxed, but that is because I have the best team supporting me, helping me to become who I am today!!

I am so happy that I am going to spend my Chinese New Year in Taiwan this year…….YEAH!! My physical trainer reminds me not to celebrate too much, otherwise my Yummy is going to grow bigger and bigger. (which means my belly is getting too fat…haha). I have not celebrated my Chinese New Year at home for a long time because I was always away for tournaments. I can finally get together with my family this year, but this is the first year that my younger sister cannot spend time with us. She enrolled to UC Riverside this year and perhaps she will be my personal assistant in the future. I miss my sister, and wish her the best with her new school.

The first event of the year is ANZ Ladies Master in Australia, and then is Hawaii….YANI TSENG………..Gogogogogogo!!
