Stacy Lewis - Rookie Blog Three

Hi Everyone!

Well, it has been a while since I last updated. It is nice to finally be home and sleeping in my own bed after being on the road for almost four weeks! I've had so much fun the last few weeks - each week seems to bring a new adventure. My golf game is starting to come around. I've been struggling the last couple weeks, but I finally had a good final round at Corning. My swing feels much better. Now I just need a few more putts to go in!

The week of Kingsmill started with the LPGA Summit. It was like being back in school, stuck inside all day, but I did learn a lot throughout the summit. I would like to apologize to the yellow team. I somehow got the most questions right for my team at the game show and was picked to represent them in the finals. Well, let's just say Julieta and I didn't do very well! But it was a lot of fun! Later in the week, I was able to help build a house for Habitat For Humanity. We helped put the siding up on the entire house. They were a little nervous about us using hammers, but no fingers got smashed along the way! I also went to Busch Gardens in Williamsburg and rode all the rollercoasters! The Griffon was not my favorite - I only did that one once!

After Kingsmill, we headed up to New Jersey and New York. Between the two events, I played in Val Skinner's LIFE Event for Breast Cancer. It was a fun day and great to see all the money that was raised go to such a good cause. I was also able to visit New York City and take in a few Broadway shows. I saw Mamma Mia and Avenue Q. They were really different, but great, shows. If you are looking for a funny show, I would recommend Avenue Q! I also stayed a few extra days and went back to the city. I went to the site of the World Trade Centers, the Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island, Central Park, and to the top of the Empire State Building. We stayed right in Times Square, went to some great restaurants, and of course did some shopping! You never know what time of the day it is in Times Square - it's always busy!

Well, I think that is all I have for now. It's time to get back to practice and get ready for Springfield next week!

GO HOGS!
