Gulyanamitta speaks at Moving Up ceremony

LPGA player Russy Gulyanamitta attends the “moving up” ceremony at John Williams School #5, the Rochester City School District’s northwest LEAP school (for children whose native language is other than English). Russy, herself an ambitious student with an industrial engineering degree, spoke words of encouragement to the sixth grade students, urging them to stay focused in school and to follow their dreams, above all.

Tomorrow, Russy will join more than a dozen of her LPGA peers for a KOLON-LPGA Golf Outing at Wegmans LPGA. 100 students from John Williams School #5 will participate in the special outing. The students, who hail from 20 different countries, will partake in golf instruction, lunch, Q&A with players, and an autograph session. The pairing with the LPGA is an ideal one, given the Tour’s own level of diversity, with over 120 players representing 27 countries.
