KOLON-LPGA Golf Outing at Wegmans LPGA

More than a dozen LPGA players gathered for a KOLON-LPGA Golf Outing at the Wegmans LPGA in Rochester, N.Y. 100 students from John Williams School #5 participated. The students, who hail from 20 different countries, partook in golf instruction, lunch, Q&A with players, and an autograph session. The pairing with the LPGA is an ideal one, given the Tour’s own level of diversity, with over 120 players representing 27 countries.

On behalf of the Tour, LPGA Player Liaison Heather Daly-Donofrio presented school officials with a Rosetta Stone software program to aid in language learning, and then moderated a Q&A with players including Michelle Wie, Brittany Lang, Yani Tseng, 2008 Wegmans LPGA champ Eun-Hee Ji, Louise Friberg ,Jee Young Lee and Jeong Jang.

A special thanks to the Wegmans LPGA, who first hosted the school for a junior clinic at the Wegmans LPGA media day in May! That event was such a hit among players and students, it inspired us to create today’s fantastic outing!

Check out some great photos of the day attached. While Rochester affiliates ABC and CBS will air coverage of the event this evening, you can check out our ESPN2 telecast this weekend to witness the fun!
