Ochoa wins two ESPY Awards

The LPGA was well represented at the 2009 ESPY Awards held June 15, 2009, at the Nokia Theatre in L.A. The LPGA's own Lorena Ochoa won both awards for which she was nominated: Best Female Golfer and Best Female International Athlete.

Although she was unable to attend, Lorena shared her gratitude with her fans: "I feel honored to receive this award, and I'm thankful to all the people who voted for me. I also appreciate the effort of the ESPYs for supporting all of us athletes."

Other big winners from the evening included Michael Phelps and Venus and Serena Williams.

LPGA players Paula Creamer, Anna Rawson and Natalie Gulbis attended the ceremony. Along with Olympic swimmer Dara Torres, Natalie also presented an award.
