More than 20 LPGA Tour members joined Cristie Kerr and other celebrities on Aug. 14 in the fifth annual Birdies for Breast Cancer (B4BC) Charity Golf Classic, which was hosted at Liberty National Golf Club. In addition to the 12 p.m. shotgun pro-am, participants were also treated to an evening gala that included a poker tournament where the final four participants declared a draw and donated the Audemars Piguet watch for the champion back to Birdies for Breast Cancer. Proceeds will go toward the charity. Early estimates are that $350,000 was raised for Kerr's six-year-old Birdies for Breast Cancer charity that has designated the funds toward the construction of The Cristie Kerr Women's Health Center at LibertyHealth in Jersey City.
