LPGA mixes business with golf at the FORTUNE clinic

On Monday, September 14th at Torrey Pines, FORTUNE, in conjunction with the LPGA, hosted a clinic as part of the FORTUNE Most Powerful Women Summit, also being staged in San Diego.� The Summit is an annual three-day event in which the most prominent women leaders in business, philanthropy, government, education, and the arts gather to share ideas about the key challenges that are reshaping our organizations and our world.� The clinic took place on day one of the conference.� LPGA Tour players including Lorena Ochoa, Jill McGill and Jiyai Shin joined nine LPGA Teaching & Club Professionals, including LPGA Top 50 Teachers Sheri Hayes, Mardell Wilkins, Beverly Fergusson and Dana Bates, in hosting a clinic for a couple dozen women executives.� Among the attendees: first woman in space, Sally Ride; American Express Co. EVP, Joan Amble; Amy Mickelson, co-founder of the Phil and Amy Mickelson Foundation; Founder, CEO of Gap International, Pontish Yeramyan; and Valero Energy Corp. EVP, Kim Bowers.
