Answer
Louise Friberg
Sweden
Lillehammer 1994 when Sweden won the gold medal in hockey beating Canada in the finals!
Sandra Gal
Germany
I just love to watch the Olympics, because I can identify with the athletes. I also love to watch the totally different scenery they are competing in compared to golf.
Natalie Gulbis
United States
When the USA Hockey team in 1980 beat the Soviet Union and went on to beat Finland to win the gold medal.
Sophie Gustafson
Sweden
Anytime little Sweden beats the big countries are my favorite moments.
Lorie Kane
Canada
The gold won by Canada in men's and women's Hockey and the LONNIE frozen at center ice!!
Pernilla Lindberg
Sweden
I cannot say if I remember this from when it actually happened or if it is after seeing the replay so many times but my favorite moment is when the Swedish hockey team won the gold medal in 1994 by beating Canada in the final game. It was the first time ever an Olympic final came down to a penalty shootout and it was very exciting.
Catriona Matthew
Scotland
Watching "Eddie the Eagle" do the ski jump. He was really hopeless, but good fun to watch.
Ai Miyazato
Japan
In the Nagano Olympics, Masahiko Harada, a ski jumper, flew 137 meters and the Japanese team won a team gold.
Gwladys Nocera
France
Every Olympics is a great moment. It gives me goose bumps when I see each athlete going on the podium to get his/her medal!
Anna Nordqvist
Sweden
Of course Sweden's gold medal in ice hockey in 2006. That was quite special!
Suzann Pettersen
Norway
Must be Kjetil Andre Aamodt and his eight medals where four were golden moments!
Anna Rawson
Australia
The "Miracle on Ice" during the 1980 Winter Olympics at Lake Placid, New York was my favorite moment. It was amazing that the United States team made up of amateur and collegiate players could defeat the Soviets, who were considered the best hockey team in the world! "Miracle" is still one of my favorite movies to watch today!
Beatriz Recari
Spain
I love the attitude of Ole Einar Bjorndalen, who is a fantastic Norwegian Biathlon skier (won several medals and world championships).
Dewi Claire Schreefel
The Netherlands
To be honest, I can't really remember watching it four years ago. Let's not even start on eight years ago. I, by the way, think they should do it every two years. This might be all very impossible with everything surrounding the Olympics, such as security, infrastructure, and finances...but that would certainly be fun for the sports fans!
Marianne Skarpnord
Norway
So many, difficult to pick one in particular. But my least favorite moment was when I was little and went to watch the 1994 Olympic Games in Lillehammer, Norway with my parents. It was so cold and I was crying. Not a good memory.
