Hi everyone!
I am Beatriz Recari, and for those who don't know me, I will make a little introduction of myself. I am from Pamplona, a little town in the North of Spain. It is quite famous around the world because of the "running of the bulls". Many people have asked me whether I have ever participated in it, but having seen it run so many times, I don't think it's quite for me.
Last year I had my best year as a professional golfer so far. I turned pro when I was 18, and played in the Ladies European Tour for four full seasons. In August 2009, I had my maiden victory in Finland, holing a 190 yard shot in the play-off. Now, that's what I call putting excitement on the tournament. In December, I finished the season achieving my full status on the LPGA Tour. I honestly cannot think of a better way of closing up the season. It is a dream come true for me.
Since then, I have moved to Miami and set up my base over here. I have worked incredibly hard at the gym and at the range with my coaches over the closed season and believe I have prepared myself very well for the challenges ahead. I cannot wait to get started in La Costa, Carlsbad, at the end of March. With my category, I will be playing a minimum of 15 tournaments and I am in the voting competition to get the final 16th spot for the Mojo 6 in Jamaica. It would be mind blowing to get to play there as a rookie!!
Thank you so much, and I look forward to sharing with you all my stories on Tour!!
