Hi!!!!
While watching the Masters at home and while admiring Fred Couple's game, I got inspired to write this blog. I believe this year's Masters of Augusta has been one of the most anticipated ones in many years because of Tiger's comeback after five months of not playing competitive golf. But what caught my attention the most is the veterans game, or should I say seniors?? As a golfer myself, it is fantastic to have pros like Fred Couples and Tom Watson still showing their talent and golf experience on the course. What a Masters this has been this year!!
Time to talk about my first playing experience on the LPGA. As you all know, the KIA CLASSIC Presented by J Golf in Carlsbad at the end of March was my first tournament. I went a week early to have a fitting at the Callaway performance center with state-of-the-art practice facilities. I really enjoyed my time there, and the service I got was on the level of royalty. Thank you Lance, thank you John, thank you Roger.
The course at La Costa was very beautiful with a great layout. Very strategic holes, narrow fairways, and playing over 6600 yards long. All of my hard work during the winter is starting to pay off. My technique is better than ever, and it's improving week after week. I felt calm throughout the entire week, being very easy on myself. I had no expectations, I just went out there and had fun. The crowds were unbelievable, and it was an amazing experience to interact with them. I must name Joel, Carmen, and her husband who were my best fans during the week - I felt overwhelmed by their support. I finished tied 46th for the tournament - not a bad start - but I am determined to work myself all the way up on the leaderboard.
Next week is Mojo 6 time for me, and I can't wait to walk down the fairway of the Cinnamon Hill course. It is match play format, which has always given me good memories.
THANK YOU ONCE AGAIN TO ALL THE FANS WHO VOTED FOR ME ON THE MOJO 6 WEBSITE!!
Looking forward to writing my next rookie blog after Jamaica!
