Hello world,
Let me share a little bit about myself... My name is Nannette Hill and I grew up in a small town called Pelham Manor, New York, just twenty minutes outside of New York City. I attended Wake Forest University and studied sociology, which I absolutely loved. My life has always revolved around sports and golf. Growing up, I played a variety of sports: soccer, softball, basketball, tennis, even figure skating, but I naturally gravitated towards golf because I loved that it was an individual sport. If I played well or if I played poorly it was all on me, and at the end of the day golf has always taught me a lesson - there was always something to be learned, there was always room for striving and room for improvement. Even today, I've played in five Duramed FUTURES Tour events and I've never learned so much about myself and ways I can improve, both on and off the course, in such a short period of time.
The most important lesson I've learned so far is that if you take care of the little things - the details - the big things will naturally fall into place. I've always been a very future-oriented person - someone who has always focused on the big picture. Being that way has been a great asset to me, but as I grow up, I realize more that it's taking care of the little things that will help me accomplish the big things. It's making sure I'm organized, getting the right nutrition, fitness, and stretching, and finding that balance of work and play. It's easy to make your life all about golf 24/7, but it's just as important to get away from the course for a few hours and enjoy yourself and recharge your batteries.
Anyways... look for me out on the Duramed FUTURES Tour and on the LPGA. I will be playing a full Duramed FUTURES Tour schedule, as well as a few LPGA tournaments, and I will definitely be blogging some more, so look out for that as well!
