Defending champion Catriona Matthew, Brazilians Angela Park and Mariana de Biase, and Duramed FUTURES Tour member Maria Laura Elvira were joined by Brazilian soap opera star Rodrigo Lombardi for a golf competition with local youth at Barra Beach near Rio de Janeiro on Wednesday. The players and Passione, a member at Itanhanga Golf Club, competed with children in a closest to the pin competition. The event also served as an opportunity for the tournament to donate money to Campea Desafio Golfe na Praia, a local organization that teaches golf to young Brazilians. The second-annual HSBC LPGA Brasil Cup 2010 tees off on Saturday at Itanhanga Golf Club.
