King hosts Pro-Am to benefit Golf Fore Africa


Betsy King hosted a pro-am outside Westchester, NY on Monday to benefit Golf Fore Africa, the charity she launched in 2007 to aid the plight of AIDS orphans in sub-Saharan Africa. The LPGA and World Golf Halls of Fame member enlisted the help of several friends, including fellow Hall-of-Famer Juli Inkster, recently-retired Lorena Ochoa, Angela Stanford, Kristy McPherson, and Katherine Hull, to continue fund-raising for on-going projects in Rwanda and Lesotho. Golf Fore Africa is currently partnering with World Vision and Habitat for Humanity to provide simple, decent, safe shelter for vulnerable children and families in these countries. the charity has received $1 million in donations from corporations and LPGA players and friends since 2007.
