LPGA and Duramed FUTURES Tour member LISA STROM of Huntersville, N.C., won her second Michigan Women's Open title last week on the Mountain Ridge course at Crystal Mountain Resort in Thompsonville, Mich. Strom recorded rounds of 71-72-71 for a 214 total to edge Duramed FUTURES Tour alumna SUZY GREEN-ROEBUCK of Ann Arbor, Mich., by one stroke. She finished at 70-70-75-215. It all came down to the eight-foot birdie putt she had to make on the last hole to win by one shot.
"It's cool," said Strom to The Grand Rapids Press. "I didn't make a putt outside of 10 feet all week, but [in the final round], I was solid."
This is not the only success Strom has had lately. She also won for the third time in four years the Ohio Women's Open at Kettenring Country Club.
