I'm at the Evian Masters Presented by Societe Generale right now. It is a very nice place - the views are amazing. I'm waiting for my family to get to the hotel, because this week they are going to come to watch me since this tournament is closer to Spain.
The last time I wrote my blog, I told you guys I was in Slovakia and I was going to get ready to play two weeks in Europe. The first week in Europe was amazing! I won my first tournament as professional. It was so much fun because I was with a lot of friends from Europe that I hadn't seen for many years. Also, I had to finish birdie, birdie to win, because I was one shot behind going to 17. After Slovakia, we went to the Netherlands for another tournament. It was a fun week again, and I played well, again finishing 7th.
After two weeks of the European Tour, I came back to the U.S. to play for another five straight weeks. We were in many different places, and I stayed in private housing in all of them. I have been so lucky, because I always get the nicest families! I didn't play as well as I did in Europe, but the last two weeks were a little bit better. The U.S. Women's Open was a lot of fun and the course was in amazing shape! Also, a few people came to watch me play. That was very nice of them, especially one friend who I didn't know was coming and she surprised me!
The last day of the U.S. Women's Open, Spain played the final of the World Championship in soccer. As soon as I finished with my round, I signed the card and ran into the clubhouse to watch the second half and the overtime. It was awesome to see Spain win the World Championship for first time!!!!!!
After the U.S. Women's Open, I flew back home. It was very nice to be home for five days after seven straight weeks of competing! As I told you in my first blog, I'm from Pamplona, so I got home just in time for the last day of the running with the bulls, and it was a lot fun!
Next time I will let you guys know how my next three tournaments in Europe went!
