On Monday, September 20th, Kristy McPherson was the keynote speaker at the Rockford Golf Hall of Fame induction ceremony in Rockford, Ill. McPherson also hit shots on a par-3 the following day.
More than $3,800 was raised from the silent auction to benefit youth golf programs of the Rockford Park District that include LPGA-USGA Girls Golf, PGA Boys Medalist, Adapted Golf and the PGA First Swing in school PE programs.
The Golf Hall of Fame was started in 2005 and serves as a way to recognize, preserve, and promotes the heritage of golf in the Rockford area. The Hall of Fame honors the contributions and accomplishments of individuals who are worthy of recognition as examples for others to emulate.
