My favorite Winter Olympic sport is alpine skiing. I was a competitive skier until the age of 16, so that is why I really enjoy watching it. Some of the girls I raced against back then are now on the Swedish team so that makes it even more fun to watch. |

First, I have to admit I am not a very big Winter Olympic Games fan. I prefer the Summer Olympics, just because I can relate to more of the sports. Nevertheless, I like watching any kind of ski discipline. I think it is amazing how they have control over their motions while racing down the hill at 70 mph. However, my favorite is speed skating and the only reason is the Dutch are good at it. Watching sports is always more fun if you have someone from your country to root for. Speed skating is very big in The Netherlands and probably one of the few sports where we will take a medal. |
