Dori Carter hits her tee shot on the sixth hole during the first round of the RR Donnelley LPGA Founders Cup at Wildfire Golf Club on March 18, 2011 in Phoenix, Arizona.

Hello everyone! My name is Dori Carter and I am a rookie on the LPGA! Yes, it feels really good to say that! I am thrilled to be a new member of the Tour. Right now I am in my hometown, Valdosta, Georgia, preparing for the upcoming season and my first event, the RR Donnelley Founders Cup.

After I graduated from Valdosta High School in 2005, I attended the University of Mississippi. I played all four years on the Ole Miss women's golf team and even joined a sorority, Delta Gamma. My years at Ole Miss were amazing and ones that I will never forget. I am so thankful for everything Ole Miss gave me: lifelong friendships, a quality education and the confidence to turn professional.

Today it is 77 degrees and the sun is shining here in South Georgia... absolutely perfect. Just under a month away until the Founders, so I'm going to take advantage of this beautiful weather! Hope to see y'all in Phoenix next month.
