Hi everyone!! First off, congratulations to Stacy Lewis for winning the Kraft Nabisco Championship!!!! That's so awesome!
Right now I am sitting in LAX waiting to board a flight to the LPGA Futures Tour event in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. I am excited to be playing in this event for several reasons. 1. We are playing in Mexico...the weather is beautiful and so is the golf course, El Tigre Country Club. 2. This will be the first time I see everyone since the last LPGA Futures Tour event in Albany, New York. It is going to be a blast to spend the week there!
This event is my third tournament of the season. I played in the RR Donnelley LPGA Founders Cup in Phoenix and the Kia Classic in City of Industry, California. They were both incredible experiences for me. I will never forget my week in Phoenix and my first LPGA event. Standing on the first tee and hearing the starter announce your name (and that you are a 2011 rookie) is so exciting! Yes, it is also nerve-wracking...but in a good way. It was a lot of fun to play in both events and I can't wait until my next one, the Avnet LPGA Classic in Mobile, Alabama.
