Another season has come to an end and with that LPGA.com caught up with several players to get their thoughts on their season, plans for the off-season and if they'll be putting down the clubs and truly take some time off. This week we check in with Mina Harigae to see what she has to say about 2012 and what she'll be doing to prepare for next year.
Describe your 2012 season using only one word?
How would you compare this season to seasons in the past?
I've played better and better with each season and this was my third one. I made a lot more birdies this year, but I need to clean up the bogies.
What part of your game have you been the happiest with this season?
How well did you meet the goals you set for yourself?
I set high goals so I didn't meet all of them, but I am happy about my season.
You've been traveling off and on for about 10 months now, what are you most excited about at home?
To not touch a club for a bit and do whatever I want to do.
How will you spend your off-season?
A couple of weeks with no golf, but I will work on my strength the entire time. I also want to learn how to cook!
How long will you put down your clubs?
Heading into the off-season do you have anything specific you want to work on with your game?
My short game - wedges especially.
Will you have a specific exercise routine to stay fit prior to 2013?
Yes, but I still need to figure out exactly what I will be doing.
How do you go about preparing for a new season?
Practice for the first part then play the second part.
