Now that their rookie season is under their belts and they have had a chance to reflect on the year, LPGA.com caught up with several rookies for a quick Q&A. This week we catch up with Danielle Kang to see what she thought about her rookie year.
Use one word to describe your rookie year.
What did you learn about yourself and your game this year?
I learned that I have to let things happen and not force the results. Also to be patient.
Did you set goals and if so did you accomplish them?
I did set goals. I have too many of them! I did accomplish some!
What was your favorite part about this year as a rookie?
Being a rookie :)
What did you learn about the LPGA that you didn't know prior?
How many amazing people there are on the LPGA.
Do you have any funny rookie mistakes you want to share?
Any time I made a mistake I just said, "rookie mistake!" No matter what it was. It was a good excuse!
What piece of advice would you give to next year's rookie class?
To be yourself and just have fun. Enjoy being out here.
What are some travel tips now that you are a seasoned traveler?
Buy airline tickets early!
How will you spend your off-season?
Hanging out with my new puppy Booda!
