I just got done playing The Royal Melbourne Golf Club. I remember watching the Presidents Cup last year waiting for my chance to play the golf course. It was definitely a treat to play the course and officially start my LPGA season, but needless to say, the golf course got the best of me. It wasn't the start I was looking for, but I plan to take the lessons learned from this event and move on. Looking on the bright side, there are plenty more events left in the season. After getting my card through the Symetra Tour last year, I had more of an eventful off season than usual. I immediately took some time off right after the tour ended, took a trip to Shenzhen, China, and unfortunately got into a car accident right before Christmas. The car accident definitely put a dent in my practice time, but I couldn't pass up an opportunity to come to Australia. I'm looking forward to spending the next month tuning up my game and getting ready for the RR Donnelley LPGA Founders Cup and the Kia Classic. It'll be nice to play somewhat near home. I can't wait for all the new experiences that are in store this year and hope you continue to follow all the happenings on lpga.com!
