Hi everyone! My name is Danielle Kang and I am trying to write something interesting for my first Rookie Blog but I don't know where to begin. I am currently in France for the Evian Masters and I had the craziest trip to get here! My luggage was lost, golf bag ended up in Newark, my suitcase ended up in Washington D.C., and I was still stuck in LA with no flights. Somehow through all the chaos I arrived here at my hotel at 1am (originally scheduled to be here 7am the day before). Anyhow, thanks to my amazing roommate Cheyenne Woods who gave me her clothes to wear and etc. I was able to play the course and practice today! Can't wait till she joins the tour!
So far being on the LPGA Tour has been absolutely amazing. I am 19 years old and play golf as my "job" what more can I ask for?! I put quotes on the word job because it doesn't feel like one to me. I just love being out here, getting to play different courses all around the world and I also get to meet incredible people along the way. It's amazing how many people volunteer at each event and I just want to say thank you to all of them.
Lastly, I just want everyone to know how I wouldn't even dream of being here without the support of my family and friends. I can start naming them all but they know who they are. This may sound like some speech people make after they win an event but I feel like a winner already by being a part of this amazing tour.
There's more to come since this is my first rookie blog but Cheyenne and I are about to watch 21 Jump Street so that's it for now! :) Byee
