Hello LPGA Fans!!!
This is my second LPGA blog of the year. It has been quite the experience this year. I recently missed the cut at the Safeway Classic in Oregon, but it was a great week having been able to catch up with an old teammate, Kristen Svicarovich, who competed with me for two years while at Vanderbilt. Her family showed my caddie and me what good salmon is like straight from the rivers of Oregon.
Before Oregon we had competed in the Jamie Farr Toledo Classic, this event was an experience that I will be able to feed on in the future. Phil and my host family were amazing. They hosted cookouts that week with one of the very classy members of Highland Meadows, Dave Fockler. With great preparation and fun activities through the week we were able to put ourselves in contention going into the final round. I know I didn't play my best on Sunday shooting an even par 71, but it was very beneficial being in contention and seeing what I needed to do to be able to compete with the best in the world.
Last week while sitting at Starbucks in Vancouver, Canada I made my first rookie move of the week paying in American dollars. It was a great week returning to Canada where the fans are very golf savvy and show great enthusiasm when the LPGA comes to their country!!
