Another season came to an end and with that LPGA.com caught up with several players to get their thoughts on last season, plans for the off-season and if they'll be putting down the clubs and truly take some time off. This week we check in with Mariajo Uribe to see what she has to say about 2012 and what she'll be doing to prepare for the 2013 season.
Describe your 2012 season using only one word?
How would you compare this season to seasons in the past?
I was more relaxed and consistent during the season. I feel more comfortable on tour.
What part of your game have you been the happiest with this season?
How well did you meet the goals you set for yourself?
I met 80% of my goals.
You've been traveling off and on for about 10 months now, what are you most excited about at home?
All the home cooked meals and sleeping in!
How will you spend your off-season?
I am going to Cancun for a week and then spending some time in Columbia practicing and resting.
How long will you put down your clubs?
About three weeks.
Heading into the off-season do you have anything specific you want to work on with your game?
I will be working on putting and consistency with my irons.
Will you have a specific exercise routine to stay fit prior to 2013?
One hour of pilates and stretching, one hour of cardio and a one hour massage every day.
How do you go about preparing for a new season?
I will first set my goals and build a plan. Then I will work hard on fitness in the beginning of the off-season and then focus more on golf towards the end and last but not least rest.
