Beatriz Recari Hosts Successful Alliance Golf Classic to Benefit The Alliance for Eating Disorder Awareness
LPGA star and Alliance for Eating Disorder Awareness ambassador Beatriz Recari along with her LPGA friend Morgan Pressel hosted 144 golfers on the Fazio Course at PGA National in Palm Beach Gardens for the first annual Beatriz Recari and Friends Alliance Golf Classic.
Golfers enjoyed an early morning clinic with Recari and Pressel then got to play a par 3 with each of them. The day culminated with an awards luncheon where a round of golf with Beatriz Recari on her home golf course of Lake Nona was auctioned off. The tournament was a resounding success with everyone in attendance planning on returning next year.
The Alliance for Eating Disorders Awareness (The Alliance) is dedicated to providing programs and activities aimed at outreach and education related to health promotion, including all eating disorders, positive body image, and self-esteem. Earlier this year, Recari became the Alliance’s spokesperson after revealing that she had an eating disorder and is in recovery. Since becoming the Alliance’s spokesperson, Recari won twice on the LPGA Tour taking home the trophy at the 2013 Kia Classic and the Marathon Classic and was part of the winning Solheim Cup team.
