A look at some of the top player picks for the Honda LPGA Thailand, the second tournament on the 2013 LPGA season which begins Thursday at Siam Country Club’s Pattaya Old Course in Thailand:

Top 3:

Suzann Pettersen: The Norwegian star is making her 2013 debut this week at a place where she has recorded three top-10s, including a victory in 2007. She has shot 21-under in winning, 20-under in placing second in 2010 and shot rounds of 63, 64 and 65 on the Siam Country Club’s Pattaya Old Course.

Jiyai Shin: When you’re hot, you’re hot. The ISPS Handa Women’s Australian Open champion won in consecutive weeks last year and has proven to be a good front runner. Plus, she finished third in Thailand last year by shooting 15-under par in the last three rounds.

Yani Tseng: Tseng worked off any rust last week in Australia by closing with a 66 to place second. Her record in Thailand is fantastic, entering as the two-time defending champion with no finish worse than a tie for seventh and 10 rounds in the 60s in 16 rounds. Plus, she’s sure to be tiring of being reminded that it’s been nearly a year since she last won (March 25, 2012, Kia Classic).

Darkhorse:

Stacy Prammanasudh: The Oklahoma native has a Thai name because her father, Pravat, grew up in Thailand. She has thrived in her home away from home with two top-10 finishes in five starts. That includes a tie for fourth in 2009 when she tied her career-low round with a 63 in the final round
