Acquiring Major status meant an immediate and comprehensive redesign of the course, a task undertaken by the Resort's own staff working hand in hand with the tournament organizers. The aim is to offer a spectacular and strategic course with a demanding and distinctive configuration, a fitting arena for the best women golfers in the world to compete on during the tournament, and for amateur players to enjoy all year round. After nine months of work, the course will re-open to the general public in July.
