How many wins total in caddie career?
How did you wind up on Paula’s bag?
I had a week off in my schedule from my regular player when I heard that Paula had a sponsor’s invitation as an amateur to play in a tournament. We got along real well that week and we decided to start a partnership the beginning of the next year when Paula turned pro.
How early does she arrive at the course?
It depends on how far the putting green and the driving range are apart, but on average 1 hour and 10 minutes.
Is she a talker on the course?
I would say that Paula is a medium talker on the golf course.
What’s your involvement on the course?
A bit of everything.
The most interesting thing she carries in her bag.
A United States golf ball has been in the bag since I met her.
How did you get started caddying?
A friend at my golf club back home in England introduced me to caddying.
Most embarrassing caddie moment?
Giving a previous player when I first started caddying the wrong par 3 tee yardage by 20 yards two days in a row because I thought we were playing from the back tee, when in fact there was a bleacher on the back tee and we where playing from the next tee forward. The funny thing was that we hit the green on both occasions with one birdie.
Best caddie career moment?
U.S. Open wins and caddying in Solheim Cups.
I am a little partial to my favorite golf courses. I really enjoy true links golf courses with Turnberry and Royal Lytham being my favorites.
What do you do in the off season?
Spend as much time as I can at home with my wife and two children.
