7 – Ai and Kiyoshi Miyazato will be the seventh brother-sister combination to play in the U.S. Open and U.S. Women’s Open in the same year. They will join Lee and Laurie Rinker (1985, 2005), Larry and Laurie Rinker (1986), Jim Gallagher, Jr. and Jackie Gallagher-Smith (1989, 1990, 1991, 1992, 2002), Trip and Kelli Kuehne (1996, 2003, 2007), Hank and Kelli Kuehne (1999) and Nicholas and Lexi Thompson (2012, 2013).

35- World Golf and LPGA Halls of Famer Juli Inkster will make her 35th appearance at the U.S. Women’s Open, a championship record.

4- Players to have won three U.S. Women’s Opens in their career. Inbee Park will try to join the likes of Babe Didrikson Zaharias (1948, 1950, 1954), Susie Maxwell Berning (1968, 1972, 1973), Hollis Stacy (1977, 1978, 1984) and Annika Sorenstam (1995, 1996, 2006) as three time winners at the championship. Betsy Rawls (1951, 1953, 1957, 1960) and Mickey Wright (1958, 1959, 1961, 1964) hold the record for most wins all-time with four victories each.

2- Players in the field to have played and won on Pinehurst No. 2 since the restoration in 2011. Danielle Kang (2011) and Ally McDonald (2013) were both victorious at the North & South Women’s Amateur Championship.
