When Soo-Yun Kang missed a four-foot par putt to force a playoff on the 72nd hole of the 2009 LPGA Corning Classic, Yani Tseng was so overwhelmed with emotion that she could not speak. Such was the case with many fans, volunteers and players who celebrated 31 years of partnership between the LPGA Tour and Corning Incorporated today at Corning Country Club. 2008 Louise Suggs Rolex Rookie of the Year Tseng carded a 5-under-par 67 (34-33) on Sunday to win the 31st and final event by one stroke over Kang and Paula Creamer.

"Thanks to Corning for putting on such a great tournament for 31 years," Tseng said after accepting the champion's Steuben Bowl and a $225,000 first-place check. "I even didn't know she missed the putt, because (my) was head down. Everybody was just (saying), ‘you win, you win.'
