Dear Friends and Fans,
I wanted to let you all know why I have not been competing this year. All the years of playing golf and walking have finally taken a toll on my susceptible hips. Throughout the past years I have seen numerous doctors to determine why my hips are in pain. This fall I found a doctor who was able to determine the root of my problem. Labral tear (A-Rod and I have a lot in common, just kidding), muscle rupture, muscle tear, and bone spurs. I had surgery in mid February to repair the issues on the first hip. Once this hip is strong enough I will undergo surgery on the other hip. I'm anticipating sometime in mid May. Recovery from that point will be six months before I can swing a club. My goal is to be back on Tour in 2010. This year will be filled with physical therapy and rehab in order to get my body and hips as strong possible.
