Hanna-Williams wins on Duramed FUTURES Tour; qualifies for Michelob ULTRA Open at Kingsmill
Allison Hanna-Williams won the $17,500 winner's check at the Texas Hill Country Classic on the Duramed FUTURES Tour on Sunday in San Antonio, Texas, before making the trek over to Williamsburg, Va., for the Michelob ULTRA Open at Kingsmill. When she arrived at the Kingsmill Resort and Spa's River Course, Monday morning, all she had in mind was qualifying for her next event, the seventh-playing of the Michelob ULTRA Open at Kingsmill. The only player to shoot in the 60s, Hanna-Williams turned in a 68 to secure her spot in the 144-player field. Joining Hanna-Williams as the two Monday qualifiers this week is 2009 LPGA Tour rookie Nontaya Srisawang.
Hanna-Williams, who played on the Duramed FUTURES Tour in 2005 before moving to the LPGA, is a native of Portland, Ore., and has competed on the LPGA Tour since 2005 as well.
