Pettersen's thoughts on winning. "Thank you so much for this recognition, to the jury and sports community in Norway. I also want to thank everybody who has contributed to supporting me, which in turn enables me to play golf at the level I do: my mom and dad, family, coaches, fitness trainers and doctors over the years, and not least my manager Jan Ove: thanks for accepting the prize on my behalf! I want to congratulate all the other athletes who won in their category and everyone who was nominated. So much unseen hard work and dedication goes on in every sport and at every level and everyone deserves a prize really. But someone always has to be picked for special recognition and I hope it inspires and motivates others to see people at the top of their field singled out and celebrated."
