Lisa DePaulo fired rounds of 72-72 to capture the LPGA T&CP Central Section Championship at Redstone Golf Club in Humble, Texas. DePaulo earned a first-place prize of $2,500 and a coveted trip to the 2011 LPGA Championship. DePaulo, who won the 2007 LPGA T&CP National Championship, entered the final round two shots behind first-round leader Kristen Samp. A steady, second-round 72 secured DePaulo the one-stroke victory. Samp shot a final-round 75 to finish solo second.
DePaulo will join fellow 2010 LPGA T&CP sectional winners – Julie Hennessy (Midwest), Sue Ginter (Northeast), Annette DeLuca (Southeast) and next year’s Western Section champion – in the world-class field at the 2011 LPGA Championship.
Sandy Lemon shot rounds of 71-78 to clinch a two-shot victory over Elena King in the Senior Division.
