Kraft Nabisco Championship to hold Bookpals Event at First Tee on Saturday
Event to Feature LPGA Player Irene Cho, New Essay Contest

RANCHO MIRAGE, CALIF. (Dec. 15, 2010) - The Kraft Nabisco Championship will hold its second BookPALS event this Saturday, Dec. 18, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the First Tee of the Coachella Valley. The free event will be held at 74-945 Sheryl Ave. in Palm Desert, Calif.

The Saturday program will feature book readings and story time with LPGA professional Irene Cho, as well as an afternoon of golf. The tournament will also announce a new essay contest sponsored by the First Tee in conjunction with the Kraft Nabisco Championship's 2011 Celebrity Pro-Am. Six participants, age 8-16, will be awarded a spot to play in the 2011 Pro-Am based on the results of the contest.

The tournament's BookPALS (Performing Artists for Literacy in Schools) events support the Screen Actors Guild Foundation's Children's Literacy Initiative. This Saturday's event is open to the public and reservations are not required.

The Kraft Nabisco Championship BookPALS outreach is part of the SAG Foundation's Children's Literacy Initiative to promote literacy in communities across the country.
