DAYTONA BEACH, Fla., February, 18, 2010 – The LPGA (Ladies Professional Golf Association) today announced that 10 of the first 11 events of the 2010 season will be televised in the United States, due to its new 10-year landmark agreement with the Golf Channel. The partnership begins at this week's Honda PTT LPGA Thailand and continues through June's LPGA Championship Presented by Wegmans, which will once again feature four-round coverage on Golf Channel. The LPGA will release the season's second-half television schedule at a later date.

“Fans of the LPGA can expect innovative, interesting coverage of the world's greatest women golfers this season on Golf Channel,” said Mike Whan, LPGA Commissioner.  “Golf Channel's commitment to showcase the LPGA on a variety of platforms, starting with enhanced tournament broadcasts and extending into their news and entertainment programming, demonstrates the passion that they have for our players and brand.”

The 2010 U.S. schedule kicks off on Golf Channel at the Kia LPGA Classic Presented by J Golf from the renowned La Costa Resort and Spa outside San Diego, California.
