LPGA-USGA Girls Golf of Atlantic City Walk a Healthy 18

Members of the LPGA-USGA Girls Golf program in Atlantic City took part in the "Walk a Healthy 18" campaign by Blue Diamond Almonds. The girls and their families visited the Blue Diamond Almond tent and learned about the benefits of snacking on almonds and getting great exercise from the game of golf. The girls all received pedometers and had fun counting their steps as they walked the fairways during the second round of the ShopRite LPGA Classic.

Along the walk, the girls and their families were treated to a behind the scenes look at the LPGA and the game by former LPGA winner and Director of Media Relations Heather Daly-Donofrio. The girls followed local Monday qualifier Joanna Coe and her playing partners Meg Mallon and Marcy Hart. They also caught a couple of holes with 15-year old Alexis Thompson.

The girls all participate in the LPGA-USGA Girls Golf program which operates out of the First Tee of Greater Atlantic City, one of the many beneficiaries of the ShopRite LPGA Classic.
