With the battle for Rolex Rankings No. 1 hitting the UK this week, Rolex Rankings No. 1 Jiyai Shin looks to solidify her top spot. Playing in the toughest conditions this morning at the RICOH Women's British Open, Shin shot a seemingly easy one-under-par 71. She bogeyed the second, bounced back with a birdie on the third, and ended the day with a birdie four on the par-5 last. Shin thought the early tee time would play to her advantage, “I said, well, we're lucky with the early times, but when I get here this morning it's really windy. I was just trying to make a par every hole. I focused for that. I did well.”
