Munoz continues to thrive on Solheim Cup success

The tides have turned for last year's Louise Suggs Rolex Rookie of the Year Azahara Munoz as the energetic sophomore has bounced back from a relatively slow start to this year's season.

The dynamic Spaniard won over the hearts of many at this year's Solheim Cup where she boasted an impressive 2-1-1 record and helped clinch a European victory for the first time since 2003.

"It's the best week golf-wise, the best week of my life," said Munoz. "You know, just playing on a team and playing with my friends, and we got along really well."

Since the Solheim Cup, Munoz has finished no worse than a tie for 25th including a career best tie for second at the Sunrise LPGA Taiwan Championship 2011. The previous week she finished third at the Sime Darby LPGA Malaysia.

Munoz' first win seems to be right around the corner as she gains more and more experience playing in the final group.
