This week's winner of the Sunrise LPGA Taiwan Championship will not only earn a first-place prize of $300,000 but will also hoist a trophy worth a mere $100,000 USD. The breath taking, one-of-a-kind trophy took a lengthy four months to complete and is handcrafted of liuli, a precious Chinese glasswork. The trophy was designed by the renowned movie star-turned-entrepreneur of Taiwan, Loretta Hui-Shan Yang. Yang has won the award for Best Leading Actress at the Golden Horse Awards twice and was also awarded the Best Actress prize at the Asia-Pacific Film Festival.
