Californian Mina Harigae
was in the eighth grade the last time she traveled to Japan, so this week’s trip to her parents’ Japanese homeland for the LPGA’s Mizuno Classic gave her a chance to see the country as a pro. Harigae remained near the tournament lead all week, giving Japanese media a chance to meet Harigae for the first time and giving the Japanese-American an opportunity to practice her Japanese. Seen here with Mai Araki of Mizuno Classic communications, Harigae checks out the stories written about her during tournament week.
