Ariya Jutanugarn accepts sponsor invitation for Kraft Nabisco Championship

RANCHO MIRAGE, CALIF. (Feb. 16, 2011) - The Kraft Nabisco Championship announced that Ariya Jutanugarn, currently ranked as the No. 1 junior in the world by GolfWeek, has accepted an invitation to compete in the Kraft Nabisco Championship this spring.

The 15-year-old from Bangkok, Thailand, won the Junior Orange Bowl International Golf Championship last December in Coral Gables, Fla., and was named to the Rolex Junior All-American First Team in 2010. Jutanugarn is the youngest player to qualify for an LPGA event - the first round of the Honda LPGA Thailand event in 2007 - at the age of 11 years, 11 months and two days.

The 2011 Kraft Nabisco Championship, the first LPGA major of the year, will be held March 28 through April 3 at Mission Hills Country Club in Rancho Mirage, Calif. The upcoming tournament marks the 40th anniversary of the Kraft Nabisco Championship.
